E-mail: sreese@vzavenue.net The first radio stop for Scott was KTQM-FM in Clovis, New Mexico, which was owned by legendary record producer Norman Petty who helped start the career of Buddy Holly. Scott then moved east (to Texas) to put his talents to work at KLUV-FM, KZPS-FM and KVIL-FM in Dallas, and KLDE-FM in Houston. He's handled almost all on-air time slots from Sunday mornings to Afternoons. In 1990 Scott moved onto the national scene as Music Director and Afternoon talent for ABC's AC StarStation format. He now handles music and Afternoon Drive for Stardust - Timeless. Scott is single and enjoys movies, baseball and his cats Maggie and Milo. |
E-mail: debbie@djmail.net Music Lover Debbie Douglas began her radio career in 1980 at a small radio station in South Texas, "I thought I was gonna be the next Barbara Walters", but soon found that news was not my passion...it was and still is music! I left there after just a year and began a long radio career in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas. I worked for the 100,000 watt blowtorch of South Texas, 99.5 KISS. I worked my way from overnights to Music Director and mid-days where I had a wonderful ride for 12 years! I also worked for KZ-100 (A/C) and KZEP (Classic Rock). In the D/FW market I've worked at the classic rocker 92.5 KZPS (evening personality), KOAI (Smooth Jazz format), KKDL (dance format) and currently for ABC Radio Networks where I enjoy working with various formats, including “Timeless” and one that airs in Guatemala! So, as you can see, my music tastes are well rounded. I'm also a voice over talent and you may have even heard my voice while waiting "on hold" somewhere! I like to travel and highly recommend Aspen, Co, Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Also on the "fun list" is checking out movies, mixing my own CD's, enjoying a new wine or dark beer, fine dining, hanging out with friends, estate sales, softball, pedicures and massages! And of course spending time with my dog, Abita! Favorite non-profit organizations include the SPCA, Operation Kindness, Susan G. Komen & Public television. |

Mike’s hobbies are photography, travel, and roller coasters. |
**WEEKENDS**
E-mail: fwelch69@hotmail.com It's not often that a career in cross-country trucking leads to a career in radio -- but that's how it happened to Frank Welch. "It's true," he says. "I was listening to a lot of radio stations while driving around the country. My thought was, 'I could do better than that!' so I jumped into it." Today, Frank's definition of "drive time" has changed. The road to his current Stardust - Timeless stint wound its way through a variety of radio stations including Dallas stations KCDU-FM, KLUB-FM and KVIL-FM. "I've done basically every on-air job you can do: jock, studio news reporter, street reporter, traffic reporter, sports reporter and more." These experiences have brought Frank news honors, including the Dallas Press Club's Katie Award and the Dallas U.P.I. Award. Frank believes he has an impact on his listeners because he genuinely enjoys his job. "I have a lot of fun on the air and I really believe that if you're having fun at something, people respond positively to you." |
E-mail: blawrence@rab.com Bob Lawrence began his broadcasting career in 1967 at KVOE-AM/FM in Emporia, KS. His Top 40 gigs in the 60’s were with WNHS-AM in New Hampton, NH, and Armed Forces Radio in Alaska. His next move was to News-Talker WERE-AM in Cleveland. From there he was on to Jazz in Oxford, OH at WMUB-FM, then AOR at WOXR-FM. Next "Mr. Versatile" headed back to Cleveland for a Classical stint with WCLV-FM, which led to more Classical at WRR-FM in Dallas. Linda is happily married to her artist husband, Bob. They have grown (finally!) twins. In her spare time, she likes to experiment in the kitchen, take road trips with girlfriends and as her husband, Bob likes to say..."spends way to much time and money on books at Amazon.com." |
